Dr. Khushboo Gupta is a dedicated environmental professional with a robust academic background. She earned her Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Environment and Water Management in 2015 from A.N. College, affiliated with Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, Bihar, and her Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Environmental Science in 2017 from the Central University of South Bihar, Gaya, Bihar. She completed her Ph.D. in 2025 at the Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi, Jharkhand. Her doctoral training provided her with a strong research foundation in soil organic amendments, carbon sequestration, climate change, and sustainable practices, essential tools for addressing today’s environmental challenges.
Currently, she serves in the Scouting, Documentation, and Database Management (SDDM) division at the National Innovation Foundation (NIF), India, where she contributes to strengthening the grassroots technological innovation ecosystem for sustainable development and grassroots innovation by identifying grassroots innovations, traditional knowledge practices, and unique local technologies developed by rural innovators across the country.
